Welcome - I'm Dr. Pilar, a counseling psychologist licensed in California, offering psychotherapy to individuals and couples. I also hold a Masters in executive coaching, and have worked with clients in various fields, such as health, education and law. I have a particular interest in themes of identity, intersectionality and gender. Previously, I worked as a qualitative researcher, a parenting coach, and a manager of multidisciplinary health teams in the UK. For the last 12+ years, I've raised a family in Davis, California, while building a private practice. For the last 6+ years, I have worked closely with medical, nursing and physician assistant students, at UC Davis. I work primarily in English, but I also speak Spanish and French. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based and compassionate. I want to understand your lived experience and what you want to change.
